Millions of Chinese preschoolers educated by grandparents

A recent study indicated more than 70% of Beijing children under the age of six are being educated by their grandparents. Some educators worry poorly educated and overprotective grandparents, who care for young children while their parents work, may undermine the youngsters' independence and educational development.
