Study: Low or high birth weight linked to adult obesity: Infants who either have a high birth rate or a low weight but who catch up rapidly have a higher risk of becoming obese at an older age, according to new research. Scientists also say that gaining weight before height can impact the risk of adult obesity and related illnesses, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
