Caspian Pipeline Consortium announces profit for 2007

Following its decision to increase the tariff to pump oil from $30.24 per ton to $38, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium reported its first profit in 2007 on net income of $423 million. The consortium, led by Chevron Corp., operates the chief crude export pipeline from Kazakhstan to the Black Sea.
