Report projects global digital, mobile ads to reach $150B by 2011

Global digital and mobile ad sales for are projected to reach $150 billion by 2011, a 12-fold jump from 2002, according to the World Digital Media Trends report released at a World Association of Newspapers meeting. Although newspapers are seeing double-digit growth worldwide for their online extensions, they shouldn't rush "headlong" into the digital segment, unless they're adequately prepared, Gavin O'Reilly, president of the association, said during a panel discussion.
