Bombardier reports fewer deliveries, 31% profit drop

The world's third-largest aircraft manufacturer says first-quarter profit plunged 31% due to decreased demand for business jets. Bombardier Inc. of Canada said it delivered only 43 corporate aircraft in the quarter, compared to 58 in the same period last year. CEO Pierre Beaudoin said cancellations have outstripped new orders for the year.
