U.S. set for "very slow" recovery, Fed's Fisher says

Growing consumer confidence and other positive indicators do not alter the fact that the U.S. economy is headed for a "very slow" recovery, said Richard Fisher, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The Fed needs to back away from its expansive credit initiatives to avoid accelerating the government's debt load, he said.
