WPP Group shareholders back stock plan for executives

WPP Group, despite concerns among some shareholders at its meeting in Dublin, Ireland, has gotten the go-ahead for a compensation plan that rewards the company's chief, Sir Martin Sorrell, and other top executives with as many as five shares for each one they hold for five years, if the holding company's results are better than eight of its nine rivals. The plan calls for executives to receive 1.5 shares for each one they hold if WPP's results rank in the middle of the pack.
