Fox said to be close to wrapping upfront; rivals are in serious talks

Fox is close to finalizing its upfront sales, and negotiations for NBC, CBS, ABC and CW are "heating up," according to one media buyer. Fox is said to have boosted its ad rates by 8% to 9%. Meanwhile, CBS CEO Les Moonves predicted his network would lock up as much as 80% of its inventory in the upfront due to the strong demand.
