U.S. airlines are ranked for environmental impact

Ten U.S. airlines have been rated on their environmental friendliness by Greenopia, which looked at factors such as fuel consumption, green design and recycling. Continental and Alaska Airlines are among the country's most eco-friendly fliers, according to the firm, which also noted that aircraft efficiency can rival automobiles under some conditions.
