California museum uses AR to enliven poster campaign

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is engaging mobile users with an augmented reality experience via 100th anniversary posters throughout the Los Angeles area. Scanning the posters with Blippar's application produces "an interactive 3D experience" that allows users "to take their picture with a T. Rex and share it with friends," said Lisa Hu, Blippar vice president of business development, North America. The campaign is incentivized with discount admissions and a sweepstakes.
