Experts tout benefits of short, intense workout in study

Slightly overweight but otherwise healthy men who followed two different training protocols, which featured short but intense workouts three times a week, attained significant improvements in oxygen uptake and fasting glucose levels, a study indicated. The findings in PLOS One suggest that "around 15 minutes of exercise, three times a week may have significant benefits as long as just a few minutes include intensive endurance training," researchers said.
