FCC spots could remain open until late fall, McDowell says

The Obama administration may not be able to fill the spots on the Federal Communications Commission vacated by Chairman Julius Genachowski and member Robert McDowell until late fall, according to McDowell. Such a holdup on the confirmations of their successors would likely be due to the "trifecta of scandals" facing the White House that could result in holds on nominees, pending the release of certain documents, McDowell said during a Hudson Institute event.
