Google+ user base is taking off after choppy start

Around a quarter of adult Internet users have a Google+ account, almost 10 percentage points more than have a Twitter account, according to a survey from Burst Media. Facebook led the pack with 56% of females and 49.5% of males having accounts, while women were more likely to have social media accounts than men overall. Around one-third of social media users of both genders said they prefer using mobile devices to access their accounts.
