Montana to launch its first language immersion program

Missoula County Public Schools in Montana will launch the state's first language immersion program this fall. Forty kindergarten and first grade students will begin the Spanish immersion program, which continues until fifth grade. English language arts and literacy skills will be taught in English, Spanish literacy and mathematics will be taught in Spanish, and social studies and science will be taught in both languages.
