The Resonance Report 2013 indicates that the number of wealthy consumers is rising, as well as their interest in high-end travel. "Leisure is an unwavering, trend-proof, recession-resilient status symbol. What shifts is the choice of travel companion, destination and experience," the study says. Experiential travel is one of the leading travel products among affluent consumers, with 32% of wealthy travelers saying they participated in a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience last year.
