Talk up the benefits to sell clients on body scrubs

It's not always easy for spas to sell body scrubs to clients, but providing them with an image of a scrub as a stress-free retreat rather than the chore of exfoliation can do the trick, experts say. Another tip: After clients experience the scrub in the spa, send them home with a free sample to encourage future purchases. "Staff should relate to how the client will feel after the scrub," said Julie Puccio, owner of Bella Nova Day Spa & Retreat in Houston. "Talk about benefits like 'increased circulation' and 'no more alligator skin.' "
