Telemedicine effort reaches Asian countries

The Verizon Foundation, the Swinfen Charitable Trust and the University of Virginia Health System have collaborated to pursue an innovative global telehealth effort. The initiative will adopt mobile- and cloud-based technology to enable doctors in rural areas of India and the Philippines to seek assistance from renowned doctors from different countries when diagnosing patients and delivering care.
