Va. district tries to address discipline disparity

About 40% of discipline cases in the Fairfax County Public Schools system in Virginia involve students with disabilities, even though such students make up only 14% of the district's total enrollment. School board members are discussing ways to fix this disparity, including a provision that would require more coordination between school principals and members of the teams that create students' individualized education programs.
