Wal-Mart makes money-back freshness guarantee on produce

Wal-Mart, which has already cut prices on fresh fruits and vegetables to encourage consumers on a budget to buy healthier foods, will now offer shoppers a money-back guarantee on fresh produce. The retailer is the largest U.S. seller of fresh produce, and it has been able to cut the time it takes for its produce to travel from field to store by dealing directly with growers and using its own logistics systems to speed delivery.
