Israeli middle schools to start teaching evolution

Beginning in the next academic year, secular state schools, state-religious schools and Arab schools in Israel will begin teaching evolution to students in grades seven through nine. Plans call for the topic to be integrated into the general science and technology curriculum. Currently, only high-school students pursuing a matriculation certificate in biology are exposed to the topic of evolution.
