Tinder dating app considers novel ways to monetize

Tinder, a location-based dating application, is focusing on monetization even as it continues to build its ad-free user base. Among the ad models under consideration are freemium features and a way for small businesses to reach newly matched couples. "You’ve got local businesses all trying to get the attention of people who are looking to spend money in the local area. It would only make sense to tie them together," said co-founder Jonathan Badeen.
