Islamic business practices differ from the West

Members of The Entrepreneurs' Organization who recently visited Saudi Arabia found profound cultural differences in how they do business compared to people in Islamic cultures. The work week runs Saturday through Wednesday, meetings are scheduled around five daily prayer times, many businesses close in the afternoon and agreements often are made face-to-face instead of in writing.
