Cuomo ends probe into banks' auction-rate practices

Andrew Cuomo, attorney general for the state of New York, has halted the investigation into the auction-rate bond sales of Goldman Sachs Group, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase and three other investment banks. Cuomo said the banks had complied with agreements to repurchase the securities from investors.
