FDA issues quarterly list of drug-safety investigations

The FDA released a list of drugs under early-stage review for potential safety risks. Pfizer's anti-smoking pill Chantix, weight-loss drug orlistat, and Cephalon's narcolepsy treatments Nuvigil and Provigil are on the list. The agency said the list "does not mean that FDA has identified a causal relationship" between the possible problems and the drugs.
