Florida district to establish mentor program to try to help teachers

Officials in Palm Beach County, Fla., hope to increase the retention rate of novice teachers by offering more support; they say they will establish a mentor program for the next school year. Five full-time mentors will be assigned to work with 15 teachers at struggling schools, and four additional mentors will work throughout the district.
