Industry supports Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009

A number of food-industry groups are supporting many of the policy initiatives of the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009 in draft form. The groups say the legislation still needs to be strengthened in the areas of country-of-origin labels, traceability requirements, and fair treatment of domestic and imported foods.
