Transition from new-media candidate to president proves slow

Despite President Barack Obama's Web 2.0-heavy campaign, his administration has been slow to adopt similar social-networking tools and blogs. The reason, according to the Center for American Progress, comes down to scale. Not only is the president now accountable to all 300 million Americans, but the White House has a much smaller new-media staff than did the campaign and is having trouble scaling its operation to meet everyone's needs.
