Boeing works to resolve strike at Long Beach plant

A federal mediator has stepped in to help Boeing resolve a dispute with United Auto Workers members at its C-17 manufacturing facility in Long Beach, Calif. The union, whose weeks-long strike has shuttered Southern California's only remaining airplane maker, says Boeing's proposed contract for 1,700 of the site's assembly workers is inadequate.
