HHS announces $83.9M in HIT grants to support safety-net providers

HHS will provide $83.9 million to 45 rural health networks across the country to assist safety-net facilities in implementing electronic health records and other health IT systems. "These funds will help safety-net providers acquire state-of-the-art health information technology systems as they work to provide quality health care to millions of people in need," an agency official said.
