Ala. city council will put $352,000 more into stadium

The Hoover, Ala., City Council has agreed to put $352,000 toward upgrading Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, including furniture, cleaning, sod, goal posts and an updated electrical system to attract concerts. The plan puts the city's investment at more than $1.5 million this year, after it took over management from the Birmingham Barons.
