API: State Dept. mulls new hearing on Keystone XL project

The State Department is considering a public hearing this summer on TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline, according to the American Petroleum Institute. A hearing on the draft environmental review of the project was recently held in Nebraska, and Cindy Schild, API downstream operations senior manager, said she thought it would be the final hearing. Schild also said that more hearings would postpone a final ruling on the pipeline.
