Cheerios stands by spot that features mixed-race family

A Cheerios spot featuring a mixed-race child interacting with her parents inspired 1.7 million views on YouTube as of Monday, although the company disabled the comment section after it was deluged with racist posts. Still, Cheerios-maker General Mills plans to continue using the spot, with Cheerios Vice President of Marketing Camille Gibson saying "[t]here are many kinds of families, and Cheerios celebrates them all."
