Diabetes patients can use insulin pen cap to transmit data

Common Sensing, based in Cambridge, Mass., has developed a replacement cap for pre-filled insulin pens that can transmit usage data via wireless technology to physicians or other health professionals. By monitoring daily insulin use over time, doctors can adjust dosages to fit individual patient needs, the company said. Common Sensing is one entrant in Sanofi US's Data Design Diabetes Innovation Challenge.
