Grant funding supports a cure for pediatric tumors

A $75,000 grant from the nonprofit Hyundai Hope on Wheels has been awarded to Dr. Lisa Kopp of the University of Arizona Steele Children's Research Center to support her efforts to boost cure rates for pediatric solid tumors. Grant funding will be used for laboratory research on using immunotherapy to target the tumors. According to this article, Kopp says the "survival rate is very poor for children and young adults with recurrent or metastatic solid tumors, and new treatments are greatly needed."
