Intel develops low-power Thunderbolt for mobile devices

Intel is developing a low-power version of the Thunderbolt interface Apple uses in its mobile devices, while also supporting the WiGig specification, according to Intel's Dadi Perlmutter. Meanwhile, Intel's Tom Kilroy acknowledged that the chipmaker has had trouble getting its low-power Atom processors into smartphones because the chips currently lack a Long-Term Evolution radio modem.
