Investor demand for synthetic CDOs returns

JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley are reportedly moving to assemble synthetic collateralized debt obligations after being approached by institutional investors, sources said. The interest in synthetic CDOs is emblematic of intense demand for higher returns, said Brian Reynolds of Rosenblatt Securities. "Wall Street will create new, more complex, more risky structures to satisfy that demand," he said.
