Organic isn't just for food anymore

Researchers from the Energy Department and Stanford University are pioneering a new method for developing flexible "organic" electronics designed for use in next-generation applications. The process, known as fluid-enhanced crystal engineering -- or FLUENCE -- uses high-tech printing technology to create crystallized film strips that conduct electricity 10 times more efficiently than those manufactured conventionally.
