Target's Canada store openings pinch sales south of the border

Target stores in Buffalo, N.Y., Detroit and Seattle have felt a "small impact" since the retailer began opening stores in Canada earlier this year and fans who used to cross the border to shop stayed closer to home, Target Canada President Tony Fisher said Tuesday. The retailer plans to open 124 Canada stores by the end of the year. "For us, it’s too early to tell what the long-term trend will be," he said.
