Vt. math teachers offer summer program to maintain students' skills

Students at Mount Anthony Union in Bennington, Vt., can keep up with their math this summer through a program called Operation Math, in which teachers Chad Gordon and Randy Lyon will e-mail math assignments to participating students. The goal of the program is to avoid a slide in math skills rather than to teach new concepts, they said. "It's at their own pace," Gordon said. "Some do one a day, some do one a week."
