Frito-Lay becomes more fuel efficient

In order to battle rising fuel costs and maintain consistent profit growth, Pepsico's Frito-Lay division is utilizing new machinery and more efficient distribution systems to reduce its use of natural gas. The company already has reduced its use of natural gas 20% per pound of snacks since 1999, says an executive.
