Increased death risk seen with asthma drugs

A new analysis of 19 studies indicates long-acting asthma drugs substantially increase users' risk of hospitalization and death compared with placebos. Long-acting bronchodilators help reduce asthma symptoms, "but we think the price in terms of serious side effects and deaths is unacceptable," said one researcher.
