HRC: Democratic White House hopefuls agree on marriage rights

The eight Democratic presidential contenders agree that same-sex couples that meet "certain federal standards of commitment," should receive the 1,100 federal benefits of marriage, according to a scorecard from the Human Rights Campaign. However, only Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio and former Sen. Mike Gravel of Alaska, who was not among the eight candidates on the scorecard, support marriage in name for gay and lesbian couples.
