Airlines see strong demand for summer travel

Demand remains strong for summer flights despite large increases in the cost of airfares on some routes. Large U.S. carriers continue to fill more than 80% of their seats. Observers note that the most inexpensive seats available on several routes are 100% to 300% higher than they were a year ago.
