Airlines' on-time performance improves in April

DOT figures show airlines' operational performance improved in April. The DOT says 77.7% of flights arrived on time, up from 75.7% a year ago and up from 71.6% in March. Still, airports in Chicago and New York had the highest percentage of late arrivals. "We're still grappling with the New York area congestion, which accounts for nearly half of all delay minutes," the Air Transport Association said.
