Spirit CEO denies reports of pending job and capacity cuts

The CEO of Spirit Airlines yesterday said the carrier has not decided whether to make any job or capacity cuts, contrary to information provided by pilots and flight attendants unions. CEO Ben Baldanza denied that the board would meet next week to discuss such reductions, but he said any scenarios involving cuts "could be implemented if we continue to see unprecedented fuel price levels."
