Marines Corps aims to open more public military academies

The Marine Corps is talking to six public school districts across the U.S. in an effort to establish more public military academies that would require students to wear uniforms, take military classes and participate in the Junior ROTC program. Supporters say the schools have high standards of discipline, ethics and civics, while critics say they are a tool to recruit students into the military.
