Paxil improves cognitive functions for cancer patients

U.S. researchers reported that treating cancer patients with the SSRI antidepressant Paxil reduced problems with cognitive function. The study, which included some 800 cancer patients, showed significant differences between reports of memory problems after one round of chemotherapy before Paxil and after four chemo cycles and treatment with the drug.
