Pre-pregnancy diabetes control lowers risk of problems

Controlling Type 1 diabetes before pregnancy can help women minimize their risk of adverse outcomes, Danish researchers reported. Researchers said women with an A1C blood test reading of less than 6.9% around the time of conception had the same level of risk for problems as women without diabetes.
