Bomb-disposal robot brings near-human hands, sight to the task

Prosthetic limbs originally designed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for amputees are now being used in a robot for bomb disposal. A remote operator can see through the Bimanual Dexterous Robotic Platform's stereoscopic eyes and, wearing a special pair of gloves, maneuver the robot's hands.
