Eye test to be used in Alzheimer's disease trial

A trial to be conducted at the McCusker Alzheimer's Research Foundation in Perth, Australia, will evaluate an eye test from NeuroVision Imaging for detection of early Alzheimer's disease. "We see the eye test as a potential initial screen that could complement currently used brain PET, MRI imaging and clinical psychometric tests," said researcher Lance Macaulay. The test has the potential to be included in patients' regular eye checks, Macaulay said.
